Hello everyone! Welcome back to episode seven of Wonderful U Pang. I think I'm gonna go with that for campaigning from now on. This is Jackie. How's everyone doing?

Yeah, so Chris is not here tonight. Um he has some stuff going on, so hopefully in like two or three sessions we can get him back in the in the meantime, we'll just focus on uh for a while. I know you will be here in the spirit. The water is loaded. And then he moves. The lake conces and the storm titans. The test has begun. Roll for initiative.

Holy straight into it, huh? Alright, let me see. Oh, I rolled the 19. 19. Dude, starting off with a battle? I'm ready. I think we're f fighting Teli. The serpent.

Okay, so what you see before you is a eastern looking dragon. You can see its scales is like. You see like some rainbow scales, but then they're covered by like a black and purple Icar. He actually gets to go first. And before its turn, though, I'm gonna need both of you guys to make me a dexterity saving throw.

Oh at 20, right?

Dang. That is nine.

Yeah. So you should use your use your saving throw modifiers.

Gotcha. Yeah, yeah. That is nine with the modifiers. I got a ten.

You got a ten? Yeah, as both of you guys see Tell I come up, um, all of a sudden it's like a sudden random current that just goes by and it hits your raft, you both like wobble a little bit, and you just find yourself on the ground on your raft. Uh the both of you guys are prone. Damn. So that just means next turn you have to use your movement to get up, that's all.

It's gonna go ahead and just look at Guy. Um, you can see as it looks at you, your wind artifact reacts to it, and he just growls at you a little bit, and he's gonna go ahead and try to attack you. That's gonna be uh 11 to hit you.

Nope.

His attacks is like uh he brings water from the side like an arm and just try to come down on you. Um as it comes down, you feel almost as if like the wind pushes it a little to the side and just come doesn't hit you and spashes away.

With that, it's gonna be uh black sky's turn and then Walg Niger on deck.

Alright, so we are on deck. Um can we traverse the plane? Or are we just like stuck on deck? Yeah.

So think of it right now, like the current you guys are actually going down. Just going down with the current.

You guys can jump off if you guys want, but it'll it'll be a little hard, and um like the water is just crazy. I'm not gonna say I'm not gonna say you guys can't. You guys can jump off if you want.

Okay. Okay, okay. Um so first, I am gonna try to deceive Tilli. Can I do that?

Okay, yeah.

Alright. So, Till Eye, I am the bearer of the wind artifact. I'm actually here to come and collect the water artifact from you. We're on a journey to reunite all the artifacts together. And I don't want to fight. And if you hand over the water artifact to me, I'll promise to fulfill any requests you ask of us.

Right as you say uh the collect, you see like a foam just starts coming out of his mouth. Um go and roll me a persuasion disadvantage.

So disadvantage is two rolls, right? And the lower one?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, two rolls, take the lowest one, yep. Oh my god. 13 and 4.

Yeah, as you're trying to convince him to kind of just like chill out, um, his his gaze just locks onto you. Um his mouth foaming. What you can take from this is that he it doesn't seem to understand what you're asking, but it knows you want to take something from it.

Okay. Um so what I will do is I will carry on with my deception and cast booming blade on myself. And and my turn.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, what does that do?

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry. Um, not booming blade, I will cast Blade Ward. Whenever a creature makes an attack roll against you before the spell ends, the attacker subtracts one d4 from the attack roll.

And then before I end my time, uh, I'll yell back out to Telai. I'm telling you the truth. We're not here to fight.

Alright, Wagnew, Sir Go.

I don't think you'll listen. Or maybe you'll listen at this. And I'm a cast cloud of daggers. My new spell.

Okay, what does that do? New spell. What does that do?

SPEAKER_04

So basically, I conjure spinning daggers in a five-foot cube centered on a point within range. Each creature in that area takes 4d4 slashing damage.

Jeesh.

SPEAKER_04

And a creature also takes damage, this damage if they enter into that cube or that area, or if their turn ends there. Or if the cube moves there, but yeah, and they only take this damage once per turn. So let's see. It lasts for one minute. That's what it says here. Cool, and it's a concentration spell.

Concentration spell. Okay, so that just means that uh if you if you get attack, or if you try to use like some other spell, then you have to um roll the saving throw pretty much to maintain concentration.

Dang, can I activate um bonus action spells? Even though I'm concentrating?

Um, I wanna say no. Okay. But let me just double check.

SPEAKER_04

It's okay if not, to be honest.

So it seems like you can't actually NISE, okay, okay. It's only if you cast an like a second concentration spell then you have to it breaks it.

Raft Chaos

Cool, so yeah, I'll go and cast it.

It's uh it's not a roll, right?

SPEAKER_04

I just take the damage or is it uh um yeah, I just choose the space, I guess. The square. I'm gonna choose that right on top of it. Right on top of the um attelli. Cool. Four it's just four d4s, so you just say just four d4.

Slashing damage. Okay, cool. Um, yeah, you set your your points onto Tell Eye and you see your dagger just spins around. Uh multiple daggers, magical daggers just start spinning around. Um, does your dagger have any particular like form or shape?

Uh no, but they slightly resemble Black Sky and Shusui's weapons because I've been spending more time with them. So they slightly look like their weapons. Yeah.

Okay, yeah. So you see like uh Sky, what you see is the your like your like imitation of your daggers and uh imitation of uh Shusui's cemitar, it's hits on Tele, uh Tell Eye doesn't like doesn't mean venture anything, doesn't even make any like movements, reactions.

Alright, and then as my bonus action, I'm gonna cast Bardic Inspiration.

Um with that, top of the turn. So because of the the current and everything is moving, you guys are moving downwards the whole time. I just want to uh clarify that your your spell, because you set onto a point as you guys are moving down with the current, you get to move away from that point.

Damn. Uh both of you guys give me a strength saving throw. Let's go, let's go, let's go.

Nice. 18 for me. Oh my god. Four.

Uh what you see is the water under underneath your raft just pushes you guys both up, and you find yourself 10 feet in the air. Uh walk near, you come back down, and you are you're able to like land perfectly. But Sky, you come down, you land onto your back. Uh you take 1d8 damage.

So you take seven points of budgeting damage. As you're as the air is knocked out of your like your your chest. Oh my back.

And last thing too, am I still prone or am I standing now?

Uh I'll I'll say just because you guys aren't moving anyway. Yeah. You use all your movements to get up, so that's fine.

Um, Cellai's gonna look right at you, Wagnu, and he's just gonna try to attack you with his tentacle slam. Uh he wrote a let's see, 1924. Dang!

Yeah. Um what you see is water from behind you come and it's like like a tentacle, just spam, slam down on you, you take 14 points of legend damage.

You are also grappled right now. So you'll need to uh row a DC 14 strength saving throw to become ungrappled.

Okay. Wait, uh, it's a DC.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think grapple does anything, because when you guys when you're grappled, you just can't move, but you're not moving anyway, so it's not gonna affect you too much, but just in case you want to move and stuff, you know.

Right. So I can concentrate. Yeah.

Oh yeah, and then um you can roll your concentration saving throw, but then you're already moving from your point, so if you want to just drop concentration, that's fine too.

I'll just drop it. And what was the saving throw again? It was for Constitution?

Uh it's 14. Gotcha.

No, it's 12. I only hit 12. Dude.

So you're you're gonna be uh restrained until every time it's your turn, you roll again to see if you can get out of it. Gotcha. Uh go ahead, Sky. What are you doing?

Oh man. I'm slowly getting back up. Oh. And I try to talk to Tell I again. We come in peace. We really do. Is there any way we can communicate with you? You seem a little upset. You seem a little purple.

As you try to like calm him down, um, his head lowers down to yours, and you see him open his mouth like he's trying to scream at you. But you don't hear any sound coming out of it. But you feel the pressure and like the like the act of the roar itself.

Hmm. If you need our help, nod your head.

SPEAKER_01

It doesn't do anything, just stares at you.

SPEAKER_03

If you're trying to fight, nod your head.

SPEAKER_01

Keep its gaze on you.

Alright. You're I think you're right, Wagnu. It's not working. And then I will continue to cast my firebolt. Okay. Charge it up in my hand. Maybe this will work.

4. Um, describe to us how your firebolt looks like.

Because now I've lost my black flames. Um I just charge my firebolt to its highest temperature, which are blue flames. Just charge it up in my hand until it turns blue, as hot as possible, and I just throw it straight at his head.

Yeah, so once you uh toss your fireball over, um, you see as it hits his face and it just kind of like fades out. Um, he doesn't even face or he doesn't even move or anything.

Okay. Take that in mind, Wagner. Fireball ineffective.

That's terrible. That's terrible for me. Okay. And is that is it my turn now or?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I end my turn.

Okay. Yeah, you said bonus action if you want to do anything.

Uh I am good. My bonus actions don't really do anything. Until I use spells.

Okay, Wagnew, there go.

Okay. Am I um uh first I'm gonna try to get ungrappled here.

18? Yep. Uh you manage to let's go. So the grapple, it's just pretty much like a water holding like water holding you down. You manage you manage to just force your way out and the water just that like around you. Let's go.

Alright. I'll be like, nice black sky. Now let me give it a try. And I'll charge up my firebolt. Well, good, wait, am I could we am I close enough to like attack him with my skimitar or anything?

Uh yeah, I would say so.

Okay, okay, okay, awesome. I'm I'm gonna do that instead. I'm gonna try to uh hit him with my skimitar.

Yeah, so cause because technically if you're if you're doing like range attacks, it's a disadvantage if they're too close, but I wanna I would say I would rule it because you're you guys are aiming for his head and his head's pretty high up, you know, it wouldn't be disadvantage, but if you want to attack with scimitar, that's fine too.

Okay. You can attack like the body and stuff.

Awesome, yeah. I'll attack his body. I rolled a 17.

Nice! Okay. Dang, it's only four.

Four points of damage? Yeah. But you go in, like right as you break from your your your grapple, and you see the water dice bursts all over you, and while the like the it's almost like raindrops coming down, right? And you just take your cemetery out and you slash at his uh whatever that you can slash at in front of you. Um right as you slash, it scales. You see like the black echo just kind of follows your blade. Hmm. Um, tell it doesn't even phase though.

Okay. Okay, and then as a bonus action, I'll cast my second win.

So I just regained one d 10 plus one. Nice! Okay. I gained uh I got nine.

Oh shoot, let's go. 21, nice, nice. Um, all of a sudden you both feel something like kind of like entering your your mind, your memories. Um for a moment you almost feel like sad. It feels kind of weird. And then you guys shake it off. Something was trying to do something to you to make you feel a certain way, but you know who you are. Tell I look straight at Black Sky. And Sky, you see as a water tentacle from your side comes out and try to s it's gonna try to slam down on you. 13?

Uh nope.

No, it doesn't hit? Nope. Yeah, it just comes down and right as before, like before even hits you, just like disperse. Um with that He's gonna actually Tel eye's actually gonna start like spinning around. And he's gonna slam down with his head. Both of you guys give me a strength saving throw.

Sheesh. Oh my god, not again. Not the strength.

Oh my dude! I only hit a seven.

I hit a five. It's the strength rolls.

The head comes down, uh, he hits a raft, and every all like the raft, you, you two, you guys go up into the sky like 10-15 feet. And you come back down, the raft comes down first, and then both of you guys fall down with it, and your back just hits the raft, air knocking out from you. Um you guys take six points of budgeting damage. Ugh, I get up.

Oh my god. Okay. Are you done? You wanna nod your head?

Yeah, no? Anything? You see, he just comes up after he slams you guys down, he just comes up, he just starts like to like kind of like like uh kind of like just starts shaking, starts moving erratically.

Uh I think that's a sign, Wagnu. Do you have that detect magic spell on you? By any chance?

SPEAKER_04

I'm replying from from the fall. I'm winded. Yes. What? Okay.

I think I think we should try to detect some magic and see if there's anything wrong with him. But I'm gonna attack him first.

Let me gather myself. And then as I tell Wagnu that I chant my magic missiles. You roll your damage. Alright. Let's go. Magic missiles then. 15. 15 points of damage? Oh, wait, damage? Oh no. 15 to uh to hit.

Four points of damage? Yep. Yeah, right as you look towards Wagnew, you just put your hand out and you see uh four magic missile just pops out and it hits Wagnew straight at the center. You can see that he's like taking damage, he's just not reacting to any you're in that's all. Like the like the as your magic missile hits onto a scale, you can see that it's making like like dance and stuff, and his di his scale starts to crack a little bit.

Oh shoot, I'm so sorry, Jackie. It's actually 12. There's three darts, and then I rolled a four.

Yeah, that's even better.

They should add a they should make it plural. Magic missiles. My bad, my bad. And then I will do I will use my bonus action font of magic. Uh tap into the wellsprung of a magic within yourself, which is represented by sorcery points. Sorcery points fuels various magical effects. And then pretty much I could just use this as a spell slot later on. And I end my turn.

Okay, cool, cool. Uh Walking with your go.

Awesome. You said hit it with magic? I started charging on my fireball. Alright, I'm gonna try to fireball it. Six. I had 13. Ah, that's right. 13?

13 does not hit. Uh you charge your firebolt, um, you toss it, and you just it just kinda just goes right past it.

And then as soon as I see Wagner do that, I yell back. I said detect magic!

SPEAKER_04

Okay. My bad! And then I also explained to Black Sky my Bardic Inspiration real quick, just in case. Um and also just because it got a lot better. But as a bonus, oh sorry. Sorry, I'm gonna just find it out real quick. Okay, here we go. Uh, anyone that has one of my Bardic Inspiration die can use it for one of the following effects. For defense, when a creature is hit by an attack roll, or when you're hit by an attack roll, you can use the die you use your reaction to roll the Bardic Inspiration die and add the result to your AC against that one attack. And for offense, immediately after you hit a target with your attack roll, you can roll my Bardic Inspiration Die and add the result to the damage.

So just to give you some like uh Yeah, go ahead, go ahead and bring it up on his turn too, you know, because um it's the new skill and it's fine if you just kinda just remind him like hey yeah, you had this, you want to use it, you know.

Yeah, yeah, and then uh that'll be it for me.

Okay, um, as you toss your fireball and it misses some, and it just kinda explodes your firebolt and explodes like behind them, all of a sudden you guys start to see like mist around you. And it starts to get into your throat and you start to choke a little bit.

Um at this point, all ranged attacks have disadvantage until the next round. So that just means all of your spells, your ranged spells attack are at disadvantage now.

Um, Telite is gonna bring Telite's gonna actually attack Wagnu with its tentacle slam. Uh that's gonna be a 23.

No! Okay, that hits.

That's a lot. 16 points of damage.

No! Okay, I'm l I'm living.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the tentacle comes down, slams you, and Sky UC as it slams, uh, Wagnu just hits the raft. The raft wobbles a little bit. Um, give me a Actually, you are actually grappled now from that. That's gonna be its turn. Sky, you're go.

Oh my gosh. I'm gonna yell out to him, pick on someone your own size. And then I'm just gonna spam magic missile. But this time, I'm gonna focus more on my chant and cast a level two magic missiles. So now it's four darts.

Let's go. Okay.

Alright. Let's roll.

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_03

Two. So it's eight damage in total.

SPEAKER_01

As you cast, like, all your magic missiles, they're like, they just come like behind you, and they just go forward and hit um to like right where you got hit him earlier with your magic missile. It's eight points of damage. Uh right as your magic missile hits them, you hear uh a familiar voice in your head. Um You can't be calmed right now. You just gotta take him down. Maybe try some lightning attacks if you have it. And then it just kind of fades.

Did you hear that, Wagnu? Lightning! Lightning attacks. Okay. And then as I tell Wagnu that, I just tap into back into my fauna magic and end my turn.

Wagnu is your goal.

Okay. First things first. I'm gonna cast cure wounds on myself. Okay. Okay, it's just um uh 2d8 plus my spellcasting modifier.

Oh, actually, uh roll me your DC 14 string saving throw first to see if you save rabble or not.

SPEAKER_04

My bad. 17, let's go.

SPEAKER_01

17, yeah. You just come back up and the water disperses.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Like, oh, that's all you got? I'll cast carry wounds on myself. Okay. So T V eight. Plus my spellcast demodifier. Nice. Seven. I recover 11 HP.

Damn. Nice, nice. How you looking? A little better?

SPEAKER_04

A little better, but dang. I might get one tapped, I'm scared. Okay, okay, I'm gonna use Oh no. I already use cure wounds. Alright, it's fine. It's fine. I'll just use my second uh second wind. My last bonus act the second wind bonus action. And that will get. Yeah. So 1d10 plus 1. 8. Okay, I I recover eight HP.

And then that'll be it for me.

Uh at this point the mist that had entered you, both of both of you, it's uh it's gone now. Um I need you both to give me a wisdom saving throw.

Dang, seven for me.

Ten? Um something enters your memories and it starts to bring back a memory from your past that had affected you a lot. Your saddest memory that you've you've ever experienced in your life. Um, what would that be for the both of you guys?

SPEAKER_03

Gotta think about my character.

SPEAKER_05

Hmm.

SPEAKER_03

Alright. The saddest memory for Black Sky would be when he and his brother Um witnessing their parents' death.

And then for me, the memory that comes to mind is I'm fleeing away, I'm fleeing through the forests. From my village as it's being attacked. And I just hear the sounds of people yelling and screaming in agony. And this I hear the sound of like roaring flames. And yeah, yeah, that's the memory that comes to mind.

Okay, as both of those memories into your minds um for the until the next turn. Until your next turn. Oh, until it's next turn. Um you both have disadvantage on your next attack and your save and throw. It's gonna look towards uh sky. Right as that voice had entered your mind earlier, that familiar voice, um, it catches on to that. And it notices that your wind artifact was like humming. And I have I I look over the black sky, I don't have any lighting! I was gonna uh I'm just gonna pass it with this.

And at this point, it just the orbit rests rests on your hand. And it tells you the ways to attune to it. Being in silence. Or being one with the flow of water. So mechanically, it's just you have to uh you know attempt to attune to it by being still or being around like bodies of water, and you just have to roll the DC 10 or higher to see three times pretty much.

And suddenly the lake just surges. Uh the banks explode outward, and the ground beneath your feet gives way. As you try to gasp, as you try to look for each other, the current takes everything. But also I'm thinking about the feeling I had when I touched the the water element, the orb, that feeling of the calm river and hurricane all at once. It's very like distinct and it's running through my mind. Like I'm it's like Yeah, I'm like running through that feeling again.

And as you turn it around, you see that there's like holes in the horn. And you you turn it the other way and you see there's like a a hole at the top. Almost as if it's it looks kinda like a flute. Now that you're looking at it, like I'm taking a closer look at it.

You see his conversations with Shusui about how he's looking for his village in Yupang, and you see how Shusui volunteered to lead him through the pass because he'd had already went through the pass once already. You see, as they cross the pass, you see the dangers of it. You see just snow and ice everywhere. You see as they the both of them had enter a cave and they come face to face with a beast that looks like frost. One bigger and one more dangerous. You see as the tattoos on Zalia glows red and his eyes turns like enraged as he acts down this bigger beast. And then you see as they come out on top of a mountain and they look down upon Yuping. Is there anything you're looking for specifically? He failed your saving throw, so you can if there's something you're looking for specifically, I can try to dive into it.

And then all of a sudden you see as the currents of water just pushes out from the the waterfalls and he just gets like swept along with it. Um you see him underwater, like struggling to like you know to breathe. Uh and then you see him appear on the jagged rocks that you guys had appear on. He goes and he makes like a fire, he sets his bed row, and all of a sudden a dog comes and barks at him, and he comes towards the both of you. And then at this point he sees you're kinda like just staring at him. What is it? You like something you see? Uh this pex just shakes.

Just to see uh you blow into it, and what you and Sky see, and then Zalia turns around too, is as you're playing into it, the horn starts to glow. It glows like a like a dim blue. The color is like uh you know chakra from Naruto. Um and all of a sudden, in your mind, you understand what this is. Almost as if you had cast to identify on this horn. Talai's whisper. That's the name. Though it's fragile looking, the flute is impossibly durable. Its notes seem to echo inward as much as they project outward, and often invokes feelings that the player cannot explain. Or cannot you cannot explain. Uh this item or this wandrous item or this horn allows you to cast identify once per long rest with no materials. It also allows you to cast speak with animals once per long rest. And then once per long rest, if you played this flute or this horn near a body of water, you may ask the water a question.
