SPEAKER_01Hello everyone! Welcome back to episode seven of Wonderful U Pang. I think I'm gonna go with that for campaigning from now on. This is Jackie. How's everyone doing?
SPEAKER_04I'm Jor, I'm playing as Wagnu, the Elf Fighter Board.
SPEAKER_03And I'll be playing Black guy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so Chris is not here tonight. Um he has some stuff going on, so hopefully in like two or three sessions we can get him back in the in the meantime, we'll just focus on uh for a while. I know you will be here in the spirit. The water is loaded. And then he moves. The lake conces and the storm titans. The test has begun. Roll for initiative.
SPEAKER_04I rolled an eight.
SPEAKER_03Holy straight into it, huh? Alright, let me see. Oh, I rolled the 19. 19. Dude, starting off with a battle? I'm ready. I think we're f fighting Teli. The serpent.
SPEAKER_04No way.
SPEAKER_01It's going down, man.
SPEAKER_03Dude, that's insane. Holy. Wait, this model is nice.
SPEAKER_01For real. So you say you wrote a 19 can't and Joy, you wrote an eight.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so what you see before you is a eastern looking dragon. You can see its scales is like. You see like some rainbow scales, but then they're covered by like a black and purple Icar. He actually gets to go first. And before its turn, though, I'm gonna need both of you guys to make me a dexterity saving throw.
SPEAKER_03Gotcha.
SPEAKER_01Oh at 20, right?
SPEAKER_03Dang. That is nine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So you should use your use your saving throw modifiers.
SPEAKER_04Gotcha. Yeah, yeah. That is nine with the modifiers. I got a ten.
SPEAKER_01You got a ten? Yeah, as both of you guys see Tell I come up, um, all of a sudden it's like a sudden random current that just goes by and it hits your raft, you both like wobble a little bit, and you just find yourself on the ground on your raft. Uh the both of you guys are prone. Damn. So that just means next turn you have to use your movement to get up, that's all.
SPEAKER_03Not too bad, not too bad.
SPEAKER_01It's gonna go ahead and just look at Guy. Um, you can see as it looks at you, your wind artifact reacts to it, and he just growls at you a little bit, and he's gonna go ahead and try to attack you. That's gonna be uh 11 to hit you.
SPEAKER_03Nope.
SPEAKER_01His attacks is like uh he brings water from the side like an arm and just try to come down on you. Um as it comes down, you feel almost as if like the wind pushes it a little to the side and just come doesn't hit you and spashes away.
SPEAKER_03Too slow.
SPEAKER_01With that, it's gonna be uh black sky's turn and then Walg Niger on deck.
SPEAKER_05Awesome.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so we are on deck. Um can we traverse the plane? Or are we just like stuck on deck? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So think of it right now, like the current you guys are actually going down. Just going down with the current.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01You guys can jump off if you guys want, but it'll it'll be a little hard, and um like the water is just crazy. I'm not gonna say I'm not gonna say you guys can't. You guys can jump off if you want.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Okay, okay. Um so first, I am gonna try to deceive Tilli. Can I do that?
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Alright. So, Till Eye, I am the bearer of the wind artifact. I'm actually here to come and collect the water artifact from you. We're on a journey to reunite all the artifacts together. And I don't want to fight. And if you hand over the water artifact to me, I'll promise to fulfill any requests you ask of us.
SPEAKER_01Right as you say uh the collect, you see like a foam just starts coming out of his mouth. Um go and roll me a persuasion disadvantage.
SPEAKER_03So disadvantage is two rolls, right? And the lower one?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, two rolls, take the lowest one, yep. Oh my god. 13 and 4.
SPEAKER_03Dang.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, as you're trying to convince him to kind of just like chill out, um, his his gaze just locks onto you. Um his mouth foaming. What you can take from this is that he it doesn't seem to understand what you're asking, but it knows you want to take something from it.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Um so what I will do is I will carry on with my deception and cast booming blade on myself. And and my turn.
SPEAKER_01Okay, what does that do?
SPEAKER_03I'm sorry. Um, not booming blade, I will cast Blade Ward. Whenever a creature makes an attack roll against you before the spell ends, the attacker subtracts one d4 from the attack roll.
SPEAKER_04Nice, nice.
SPEAKER_03And then before I end my time, uh, I'll yell back out to Telai. I'm telling you the truth. We're not here to fight.
SPEAKER_01Alright, Wagnew, Sir Go.
SPEAKER_04I don't think you'll listen. Or maybe you'll listen at this. And I'm a cast cloud of daggers. My new spell.
SPEAKER_01Okay, what does that do? New spell. What does that do?
SPEAKER_04So basically, I conjure spinning daggers in a five-foot cube centered on a point within range. Each creature in that area takes 4d4 slashing damage.
SPEAKER_05Jeesh.
SPEAKER_04And a creature also takes damage, this damage if they enter into that cube or that area, or if their turn ends there. Or if the cube moves there, but yeah, and they only take this damage once per turn. So let's see. It lasts for one minute. That's what it says here. Cool, and it's a concentration spell.
SPEAKER_01Concentration spell. Okay, so that just means that uh if you if you get attack, or if you try to use like some other spell, then you have to um roll the saving throw pretty much to maintain concentration.
SPEAKER_04Dang, can I activate um bonus action spells? Even though I'm concentrating?
SPEAKER_01Um, I wanna say no. Okay. But let me just double check.
SPEAKER_04It's okay if not, to be honest.
SPEAKER_01So it seems like you can't actually NISE, okay, okay. It's only if you cast an like a second concentration spell then you have to it breaks it.
SPEAKER_04Ah, okay. That makes sense. Awesome.
Raft Chaos
SPEAKER_04Cool, so yeah, I'll go and cast it.
SPEAKER_01It's uh it's not a roll, right?
SPEAKER_04I just take the damage or is it uh um yeah, I just choose the space, I guess. The square. I'm gonna choose that right on top of it. Right on top of the um attelli. Cool. Four it's just four d4s, so you just say just four d4.
SPEAKER_01That's what it says. That's four d4s, man.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy damage, no?
SPEAKER_01Did you get all fours? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Two my god. Okay, so it's thirteen total.
SPEAKER_01Thirteen total. What kind of damage is it?
SPEAKER_04It is slashing damage.
SPEAKER_01Slashing damage. Okay, cool. Um, yeah, you set your your points onto Tell Eye and you see your dagger just spins around. Uh multiple daggers, magical daggers just start spinning around. Um, does your dagger have any particular like form or shape?
SPEAKER_04Uh no, but they slightly resemble Black Sky and Shusui's weapons because I've been spending more time with them. So they slightly look like their weapons. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah. So you see like uh Sky, what you see is the your like your like imitation of your daggers and uh imitation of uh Shusui's cemitar, it's hits on Tele, uh Tell Eye doesn't like doesn't mean venture anything, doesn't even make any like movements, reactions.
SPEAKER_04Alright, and then as my bonus action, I'm gonna cast Bardic Inspiration.
SPEAKER_01I'm black I'm black that so Scott, you have one D6.
SPEAKER_04Nice.
SPEAKER_01Um with that, top of the turn. So because of the the current and everything is moving, you guys are moving downwards the whole time. I just want to uh clarify that your your spell, because you set onto a point as you guys are moving down with the current, you get to move away from that point.
SPEAKER_04True. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Damn. Uh both of you guys give me a strength saving throw. Let's go, let's go, let's go.
SPEAKER_04Nice. 18 for me. Oh my god. Four.
SPEAKER_01Uh what you see is the water under underneath your raft just pushes you guys both up, and you find yourself 10 feet in the air. Uh walk near, you come back down, and you are you're able to like land perfectly. But Sky, you come down, you land onto your back. Uh you take 1d8 damage.

SPEAKER_01So you take seven points of budgeting damage. As you're as the air is knocked out of your like your your chest. Oh my back.
SPEAKER_04And last thing too, am I still prone or am I standing now?
SPEAKER_01Uh I'll I'll say just because you guys aren't moving anyway. Yeah. You use all your movements to get up, so that's fine.
SPEAKER_04Awesome, awesome.
SPEAKER_01Um, Cellai's gonna look right at you, Wagnu, and he's just gonna try to attack you with his tentacle slam. Uh he wrote a let's see, 1924. Dang!
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that hits.
SPEAKER_01pretty bad.
SPEAKER_04No!
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um what you see is water from behind you come and it's like like a tentacle, just spam, slam down on you, you take 14 points of legend damage.
SPEAKER_04No shot.
SPEAKER_01You are also grappled right now. So you'll need to uh row a DC 14 strength saving throw to become ungrappled.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Wait, uh, it's a DC.
SPEAKER_01I don't think grapple does anything, because when you guys when you're grappled, you just can't move, but you're not moving anyway, so it's not gonna affect you too much, but just in case you want to move and stuff, you know.
SPEAKER_04Right. So I can concentrate. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, and then um you can roll your concentration saving throw, but then you're already moving from your point, so if you want to just drop concentration, that's fine too.
SPEAKER_04I'll just drop it. And what was the saving throw again? It was for Constitution?
SPEAKER_01Uh it's 14. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_04No, it's 12. I only hit 12. Dude.
SPEAKER_01So you're you're gonna be uh restrained until every time it's your turn, you roll again to see if you can get out of it. Gotcha. Uh go ahead, Sky. What are you doing?
SPEAKER_03Oh man. I'm slowly getting back up. Oh. And I try to talk to Tell I again. We come in peace. We really do. Is there any way we can communicate with you? You seem a little upset. You seem a little purple.
SPEAKER_01As you try to like calm him down, um, his head lowers down to yours, and you see him open his mouth like he's trying to scream at you. But you don't hear any sound coming out of it. But you feel the pressure and like the like the act of the roar itself.
SPEAKER_03Hmm. If you need our help, nod your head.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't do anything, just stares at you.
SPEAKER_03If you're trying to fight, nod your head.
SPEAKER_01Keep its gaze on you.
SPEAKER_03Alright. You're I think you're right, Wagnu. It's not working. And then I will continue to cast my firebolt. Okay. Charge it up in my hand. Maybe this will work.
SPEAKER_01Let's roll.

SPEAKER_0117 hits it, yeah. No damage.
SPEAKER_03Nice. Let's go. 1D10, let's go. 4.
SPEAKER_014. Um, describe to us how your firebolt looks like.
SPEAKER_03Because now I've lost my black flames. Um I just charge my firebolt to its highest temperature, which are blue flames. Just charge it up in my hand until it turns blue, as hot as possible, and I just throw it straight at his head.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so once you uh toss your fireball over, um, you see as it hits his face and it just kind of like fades out. Um, he doesn't even face or he doesn't even move or anything.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Take that in mind, Wagner. Fireball ineffective.
SPEAKER_04That's terrible. That's terrible for me. Okay. And is that is it my turn now or?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I end my turn.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Yeah, you said bonus action if you want to do anything.
SPEAKER_03Uh I am good. My bonus actions don't really do anything. Until I use spells.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Wagnew, there go.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Am I um uh first I'm gonna try to get ungrappled here.
SPEAKER_01Yep, go ahead, road string saving three.
SPEAKER_0418. 18.
SPEAKER_0118? Yep. Uh you manage to let's go. So the grapple, it's just pretty much like a water holding like water holding you down. You manage you manage to just force your way out and the water just that like around you. Let's go.
SPEAKER_04Alright. I'll be like, nice black sky. Now let me give it a try. And I'll charge up my firebolt. Well, good, wait, am I could we am I close enough to like attack him with my skimitar or anything?
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah, I would say so.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay, okay, awesome. I'm I'm gonna do that instead. I'm gonna try to uh hit him with my skimitar.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so cause because technically if you're if you're doing like range attacks, it's a disadvantage if they're too close, but I wanna I would say I would rule it because you're you guys are aiming for his head and his head's pretty high up, you know, it wouldn't be disadvantage, but if you want to attack with scimitar, that's fine too.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay. You can attack like the body and stuff.
SPEAKER_04Awesome, yeah. I'll attack his body. I rolled a 17.
SPEAKER_0117 hits.
SPEAKER_04Nice! Okay. Dang, it's only four.
SPEAKER_01Four points of damage? Yeah. But you go in, like right as you break from your your your grapple, and you see the water dice bursts all over you, and while the like the it's almost like raindrops coming down, right? And you just take your cemetery out and you slash at his uh whatever that you can slash at in front of you. Um right as you slash, it scales. You see like the black echo just kind of follows your blade. Hmm. Um, tell it doesn't even phase though.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Okay, and then as a bonus action, I'll cast my second win.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04So I just regained one d 10 plus one. Nice! Okay. I gained uh I got nine.
SPEAKER_01Nine?
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Cool, cool.
SPEAKER_04Nice, okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um everyone give me a wisdom saving throw.
SPEAKER_04Wisdom saving throw?
SPEAKER_03Let's go. This is where I shine. Let's go. What the modifiers too, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So your saving throws should have their own modifiers, so make sure you're using that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Nice.

SPEAKER_01Oh shoot, let's go. 21, nice, nice. Um, all of a sudden you both feel something like kind of like entering your your mind, your memories. Um for a moment you almost feel like sad. It feels kind of weird. And then you guys shake it off. Something was trying to do something to you to make you feel a certain way, but you know who you are. Tell I look straight at Black Sky. And Sky, you see as a water tentacle from your side comes out and try to s it's gonna try to slam down on you. 13?
SPEAKER_03Uh nope.
SPEAKER_01No, it doesn't hit? Nope. Yeah, it just comes down and right as before, like before even hits you, just like disperse. Um with that He's gonna actually Tel eye's actually gonna start like spinning around. And he's gonna slam down with his head. Both of you guys give me a strength saving throw.
SPEAKER_03Sheesh. Oh my god, not again. Not the strength.
SPEAKER_04Oh my dude! I only hit a seven.
SPEAKER_03I hit a five. It's the strength rolls.
SPEAKER_01The head comes down, uh, he hits a raft, and every all like the raft, you, you two, you guys go up into the sky like 10-15 feet. And you come back down, the raft comes down first, and then both of you guys fall down with it, and your back just hits the raft, air knocking out from you. Um you guys take six points of budgeting damage. Ugh, I get up.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. Okay. Are you done? You wanna nod your head?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no? Anything? You see, he just comes up after he slams you guys down, he just comes up, he just starts like to like kind of like like uh kind of like just starts shaking, starts moving erratically.
SPEAKER_03Uh I think that's a sign, Wagnu. Do you have that detect magic spell on you? By any chance?
SPEAKER_04I'm replying from from the fall. I'm winded. Yes. What? Okay.
SPEAKER_03I think I think we should try to detect some magic and see if there's anything wrong with him. But I'm gonna attack him first.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, you do that.
SPEAKER_03Let me gather myself. And then as I tell Wagnu that I chant my magic missiles. You roll your damage. Alright. Let's go. Magic missiles then. 15. 15 points of damage? Oh, wait, damage? Oh no. 15 to uh to hit.
SPEAKER_01You just roll damage. Magic missile hits. Always hits.
SPEAKER_03Always hits. Really? Yeah. That's crazy. That's the cool thing about it.
SPEAKER_01Wendy for it's like Swift for Pokemon.
SPEAKER_03Oh nice, my bad, my bad, my bad.
SPEAKER_01Alright.
SPEAKER_03Four.
SPEAKER_01Four points of damage? Yep. Yeah, right as you look towards Wagnew, you just put your hand out and you see uh four magic missile just pops out and it hits Wagnew straight at the center. You can see that he's like taking damage, he's just not reacting to any you're in that's all. Like the like the as your magic missile hits onto a scale, you can see that it's making like like dance and stuff, and his di his scale starts to crack a little bit.
SPEAKER_03Oh shoot, I'm so sorry, Jackie. It's actually 12. There's three darts, and then I rolled a four.
SPEAKER_05Hmm.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's even better.
SPEAKER_03They should add a they should make it plural. Magic missiles. My bad, my bad. And then I will do I will use my bonus action font of magic. Uh tap into the wellsprung of a magic within yourself, which is represented by sorcery points. Sorcery points fuels various magical effects. And then pretty much I could just use this as a spell slot later on. And I end my turn.
SPEAKER_01Okay, cool, cool. Uh Walking with your go.
SPEAKER_04Awesome. You said hit it with magic? I started charging on my fireball. Alright, I'm gonna try to fireball it. Six. I had 13. Ah, that's right. 13?
SPEAKER_0113 does not hit. Uh you charge your firebolt, um, you toss it, and you just it just kinda just goes right past it.
SPEAKER_03And then as soon as I see Wagner do that, I yell back. I said detect magic!
SPEAKER_04Okay. My bad! And then I also explained to Black Sky my Bardic Inspiration real quick, just in case. Um and also just because it got a lot better. But as a bonus, oh sorry. Sorry, I'm gonna just find it out real quick. Okay, here we go. Uh, anyone that has one of my Bardic Inspiration die can use it for one of the following effects. For defense, when a creature is hit by an attack roll, or when you're hit by an attack roll, you can use the die you use your reaction to roll the Bardic Inspiration die and add the result to your AC against that one attack. And for offense, immediately after you hit a target with your attack roll, you can roll my Bardic Inspiration Die and add the result to the damage.
SPEAKER_01So just to give you some like uh Yeah, go ahead, go ahead and bring it up on his turn too, you know, because um it's the new skill and it's fine if you just kinda just remind him like hey yeah, you had this, you want to use it, you know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, and then uh that'll be it for me.
SPEAKER_01Okay, um, as you toss your fireball and it misses some, and it just kinda explodes your firebolt and explodes like behind them, all of a sudden you guys start to see like mist around you. And it starts to get into your throat and you start to choke a little bit.
SPEAKER_05Holy.
SPEAKER_01Um at this point, all ranged attacks have disadvantage until the next round. So that just means all of your spells, your ranged spells attack are at disadvantage now.
SPEAKER_03Dang.
SPEAKER_01Um, Telite is gonna bring Telite's gonna actually attack Wagnu with its tentacle slam. Uh that's gonna be a 23.
SPEAKER_04No! Okay, that hits.
SPEAKER_01That's a lot. 16 points of damage.
SPEAKER_04No! Okay, I'm l I'm living.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the tentacle comes down, slams you, and Sky UC as it slams, uh, Wagnu just hits the raft. The raft wobbles a little bit. Um, give me a Actually, you are actually grappled now from that. That's gonna be its turn. Sky, you're go.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh. I'm gonna yell out to him, pick on someone your own size. And then I'm just gonna spam magic missile. But this time, I'm gonna focus more on my chant and cast a level two magic missiles. So now it's four darts.
SPEAKER_01Let's go. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Alright. Let's roll.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03Two. So it's eight damage in total.
SPEAKER_01As you cast, like, all your magic missiles, they're like, they just come like behind you, and they just go forward and hit um to like right where you got hit him earlier with your magic missile. It's eight points of damage. Uh right as your magic missile hits them, you hear uh a familiar voice in your head. Um You can't be calmed right now. You just gotta take him down. Maybe try some lightning attacks if you have it. And then it just kind of fades.
SPEAKER_03Did you hear that, Wagnu? Lightning! Lightning attacks. Okay. And then as I tell Wagnu that, I just tap into back into my fauna magic and end my turn.
SPEAKER_01Wagnu is your goal.
SPEAKER_04Okay. First things first. I'm gonna cast cure wounds on myself. Okay. Okay, it's just um uh 2d8 plus my spellcasting modifier.
SPEAKER_01Oh, actually, uh roll me your DC 14 string saving throw first to see if you save rabble or not.
SPEAKER_04My bad. 17, let's go.
SPEAKER_0117, yeah. You just come back up and the water disperses.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Like, oh, that's all you got? I'll cast carry wounds on myself. Okay. So T V eight. Plus my spellcast demodifier. Nice. Seven. I recover 11 HP.
SPEAKER_01Damn. Nice, nice. How you looking? A little better?
SPEAKER_04A little better, but dang. I might get one tapped, I'm scared. Okay, okay, I'm gonna use Oh no. I already use cure wounds. Alright, it's fine. It's fine. I'll just use my second uh second wind. My last bonus act the second wind bonus action. And that will get. Yeah. So 1d10 plus 1. 8. Okay, I I recover eight HP.
SPEAKER_01Alright. Cool. Cool.
SPEAKER_04And then that'll be it for me.
SPEAKER_01Uh at this point the mist that had entered you, both of both of you, it's uh it's gone now. Um I need you both to give me a wisdom saving throw.
SPEAKER_04Dang, seven for me.
SPEAKER_03Ten.
SPEAKER_01Ten? Um something enters your memories and it starts to bring back a memory from your past that had affected you a lot. Your saddest memory that you've you've ever experienced in your life. Um, what would that be for the both of you guys?
SPEAKER_03Gotta think about my character.
SPEAKER_05Hmm.
SPEAKER_03Alright. The saddest memory for Black Sky would be when he and his brother Um witnessing their parents' death.

Uh, you still you see them start to like kind of like he He w he's like letting out like a roar, but you just you can't hear anything. And it seems to be doing some some um effects, but go and roll me damage, see how much it does.
SPEAKER_03And it does a five.
SPEAKER_01Five damage. Yeah, as your lightning strikes come down and just hits them, um it seems to be working, doing something. Lightning! Wagner's ergo.
SPEAKER_04I look over at the whole turn of events that just unfolded in front of me with the water splashing, black sky, him retaliating with Hell's Rebuke, and I look back at uh Tilli, and then I'm cast mirror images.
SPEAKER_01Mirror images, okay, cool.
SPEAKER_04Or mirror image, yeah. So it just gives me like um three illusionary duplicates of myself appear in my space, and then uh each time a creature would hit me with an attack roll during the spell duration, I roll a d6 for each of my duplicates. If any of the d6 roll a three or higher, one of the duplicates is hit instead of me. But then the duplicate is destroyed. Otherwise, it ignores all other damage and effects. And I have I I look over the black sky, I don't have any lighting! I was gonna uh I'm just gonna pass it with this.
SPEAKER_01Um that's so cool. As your turn ends, you guys hear uh off in the distance like a bark. Um and then as you turn to where the bark at, you see uh frost on top of this tree. And he jumps down onto the the raft with you. He goes over to Sky and in his mouth he just kinda like um as you're being grappled, he just kinda in his mouth he has you see that he has like some berries in his mouth. And he just kinda like pops them into your mouth. Thank you, Frost. Uh you gain four hit points back from that. Nice. Now everyone give me a strength saving throw.

SPEAKER_01Yeah. Uh Telike is like looking at you and then from underneath the water, almost like it has like a like a mind of its own. It just splashes and it just uh convulses underneath your raft and everyone just goes up with it. Like you like like you just had like a bump. And you guys go ten feet into the air and everyone comes back down. Uh Sky, you're able to just kind of even though you're grappled right now, it's almost as if the water kinda like stopped your impact, lessen your impact, and then uh Wagnew, you land right back down, uh two of your images lands back down, and then one of them gets taken out. Um You see Frost just lands like right on top of uh Sky and then just jumps down. With that, Talai is gonna keep its focus on Sky. Uh Sky, give me a constitution saving throw. Let's go.

SPEAKER_01Okay. Uh yeah, you just keep doing that, and after a while, as his mouth kind of just stays open, finally you can hear something come out from it. And the words you hear are just Thank you. As he kinda just starts um as as like the lightning disperses, he just goes up, listen to the sky, and just kind of falls back down slowly until he goes all the way down underneath. And you guys are now out of combat.

At first it's like a smoke that comes out. And then the smoke goes away, and you see what it is. It's like a blue orb. And it just kind of hangs. Floats right in front of you. Both of you.
SPEAKER_04Alright. Dude, that was awesome what you just did do that thing.
SPEAKER_03I look over and I call it. Oh I don't I don't feel too awesome.

SPEAKER_01As you cast identify, and as you reach out to touch um the orb in front of you, the water article. What you get from this is you don't see all the effects yet, but you understand the name. You see, it's almost like as if it's in your mind. It speaks to you. The tides reflection. It's almost as if this is a calm river and then hurricane all at once. And at this point, it just the orbit rests rests on your hand. And it tells you the ways to attune to it. Being in silence. Or being one with the flow of water. So mechanically, it's just you have to uh you know attempt to attune to it by being still or being around like bodies of water, and you just have to roll the DC 10 or higher to see three times pretty much.
SPEAKER_04So I it's in my hand still, right? Is that everything that I gather from that spell identify?
SPEAKER_01Um you do gather that whatever effects that it has from there on, it'll only show even with identify spell, it'll only show to the person that attunes to it.

He turns to you, and at this point you see the waters in front of you. Just it comes up. Like a a wave. With a nap 20, you see it first. You turn to sky. But before you can even say anything, the wave comes and just splashes down on the both of you. You don't have any time to savor the moment. A thunderous roar tears the riverbed. And suddenly the lake just surges. Uh the banks explode outward, and the ground beneath your feet gives way. As you try to gasp, as you try to look for each other, the current takes everything. Darkness, that's all you see.
SPEAKER_04So are are we on land though now?
SPEAKER_01Or your eyes starts to open, and those words come. After your mouth. Are we on land? And do you find yourself on like jagged rocks? And looking out towards the sea.

SPEAKER_01You guys are starting to walk through the path, and at this point, you guys are heading through um like the very edge is just like the forest. It's not too far from here. You see his camp, it's just a fireplace and one bedroll laid out. On top of the fireplace, you see like five fishes being grilled. He dropped sky on the ground and just rushes toward the fish. Oh, oh man! Just in time. Oh, sorry about that, friend. Uh didn't want the fish to burn. That's alright, how's the fish? Could use a little seasoning, but it's not too bad. It it'll get us through.

SPEAKER_04I look over the black sky real quick. We were out hunting, and um my friend here was um struck by a mountain goat, and it threw him in the water. He almost drowned. And I was barely able to fish him out, that's why he's so injured. Also, I injured myself going in the water. That's why I'm also injured. But yeah.
SPEAKER_01Alright. Well, first of all, why are you hunting for mountain goats in the water? But uh, go ahead and run me a deception check.

SPEAKER_04Oh yeah. Um as I take a bite of the fish, I I notice or I'll go look at what Frost had in his mouth before.
SPEAKER_01Uh you pick it up and it's it seems to be a horn from Teli.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. Um I will grab it, not like hecka quick, but just kinda put it away just so that um Zaliov doesn't notice it either. Yeah, I'll just quickly grab and put it in my bag or something.

SPEAKER_01What's the final thought that goes through um your minds as you guys kinda like set up your bedrows and prepare to rest for the night?
SPEAKER_03Um as I'm setting up my bedrow, I just think about what Telai said to me. And how he thanked us. And just thinking, what or how he became corrupted, how it changed him to look the way he did, and how unfortunate that we didn't get to have a moment with him.
SPEAKER_01As you as those thoughts enter your mind, like simultaneously you also think of something else too. You think of your encounters with Black Dawn coat. Your encounters with Vanguard. You remember how they desecrated his sacred shrine shrine with blood everywhere. He also wrote me a let's do a wisdom saving throw, please.

SPEAKER_01You start to hear a voice and you start to look around to see if anyone hears it. But Wagnu seems to just be doing his own thing, setting up a setting like setting up his own bedroom. Uh Frost is just kinda like cuddle in between uh Zaliov. And you start to hear in your mind as the fire in front of you kind of flickers in and out. Good enough.
SPEAKER_03Um I look over behind my back, look straight to the flames. And I whisper out to Wagnew. You hear that?
SPEAKER_04Hear what? No, I I didn't. What? I'm kinda like kinda like dazed, kinda tired already. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04Hmm, as I'm laying out my bedding. My final thoughts before I rest are I'm thinking about the horn that Tilli that came off of Tilli that um Frost had brought over. I didn't get it fully inspect it and look at it, so I'm just kind of thinking about it. But also I'm thinking about the feeling I had when I touched the the water element, the orb, that feeling of the calm river and hurricane all at once. It's very like distinct and it's running through my mind. Like I'm it's like Yeah, I'm like running through that feeling again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. As you think about that, the water artifact on your body starts to hum. Almost as if it's like a part of like a like a bigger song. The horn that you have in your bag, it glows just for a little bit. As if essence of Telai still resides there.
SPEAKER_04I'll can I pull out the horn to look at it? Okay. I'll pull it out but a little discreetly. Yeah. And I'll just kinda look at Sorry. I'm just looking for the um for like any sort of magic residue or um like the source of the humming, which came f or which I don't know which came from.

But as you hold the horn in your hand, you find that your fingers kind of almost fit perfectly into like the groves on the horn. And as you turn it around, you see that there's like holes in the horn. And you you turn it the other way and you see there's like a a hole at the top. Almost as if it's it looks kinda like a flute. Now that you're looking at it, like I'm taking a closer look at it.
SPEAKER_04I'ma look around real quick. I still want to be discreet about this, but I'll move the the horn up to my lips and I'll try to I'll blow it, try to play it.
SPEAKER_01You blow into it and a sound comes out from it. It sounds like a whisper, it sounds like a a whistle. It's a very calming and soothing sound.
SPEAKER_04Hmm, that's neat. That's cool. I wonder why it was on that thing's head.
SPEAKER_01As you play it for a little bit, um you hear a bark from frost. But as it comes out from a bark, it suddenly becomes something else. You hear. Aren't you tired?
SPEAKER_04What I look around. What?
SPEAKER_01But but it sounds like when that voice comes out, it sounds like it's being it's like underwater. Like just talking underwater. It's like beautiful and haunting.

SPEAKER_01Okay, he fails anyway, he wrote a four. So um right as you cast attack thoughts, the first thing you see on like on the um on the outer of his mind, you hear, um, oh man, I'm hungry. Damn, should have shared those fish yesterday. Uh one fish wasn't enough. And as you go deeper, you start to see memories. You see him crossing the Nakuo Pass with Shusui. You see his conversations with Shusui about how he's looking for his village in Yupang, and you see how Shusui volunteered to lead him through the pass because he'd had already went through the pass once already. You see, as they cross the pass, you see the dangers of it. You see just snow and ice everywhere. You see as they the both of them had enter a cave and they come face to face with a beast that looks like frost. One bigger and one more dangerous. You see as the tattoos on Zalia glows red and his eyes turns like enraged as he acts down this bigger beast. And then you see as they come out on top of a mountain and they look down upon Yuping. Is there anything you're looking for specifically? He failed your saving throw, so you can if there's something you're looking for specifically, I can try to dive into it.
SPEAKER_03Uh no, I I was just trying to see if like he was telling the truth about his village.

SPEAKER_01Um you go even deeper and you try to bring like a recent memory. Um you see him as he comes upon the twin waterfalls of Zujikan Falls, um, you see him pick up a rock. Oh that's a nice rock. And then all of a sudden you see as the currents of water just pushes out from the the waterfalls and he just gets like swept along with it. Um you see him underwater, like struggling to like you know to breathe. Uh and then you see him appear on the jagged rocks that you guys had appear on. He goes and he makes like a fire, he sets his bed row, and all of a sudden a dog comes and barks at him, and he comes towards the both of you. And then at this point he sees you're kinda like just staring at him. What is it? You like something you see? Uh this pex just shakes.
SPEAKER_03No, no, uh, don't don't mind me. This is just how I normally am.
SPEAKER_01You know I was the champion back at my other home, right? I get I get those uh those looks quite a bit. I can tell when someone likes me.

You see like shrine ruins offerings, you see a lot of dried moss. As you move through the stones, the earth seems to shift slightly beneath your boots. Reactive. You see uh Zalia stops at a boulder and places his hand on it, closes his eye for a little bit before he continues on.

SPEAKER_01Just paying my respect to the earth. And he just continues on. It shouldn't be too far. Let's keep going. Unless you're tired.

SPEAKER_01He continues to be in the way with Frost by his side. Um like a narrow part. And then the cliff starts to part. In the crater of broken mountains, you see a village of stone. You see huts carved into the mountains of the earth itself. You see massive obsidian pillars that reaches towards the sky, and smoke that curls from long communal harps. But the both of you, it's what it's what's beneath that stirs your breath. Your artifact starts to hum. Uh the wind artifact hums a little more than the water artifact. You hear in your voice, Sky. Be careful here. Remember what happened to Telli. It'll be the same.
SPEAKER_03And then I will whisper this over to Wagnew. L GA is telling me that. This will be the same situation with Teli. You feel anything with your artifact?
SPEAKER_04That's strange. I didn't nobody talked to me. But yeah, my artifact I don't know, it's kind of acting up.

SPEAKER_01Just to see uh you blow into it, and what you and Sky see, and then Zalia turns around too, is as you're playing into it, the horn starts to glow. It glows like a like a dim blue. The color is like uh you know chakra from Naruto. Um and all of a sudden, in your mind, you understand what this is. Almost as if you had cast to identify on this horn. Talai's whisper. That's the name. Though it's fragile looking, the flute is impossibly durable. Its notes seem to echo inward as much as they project outward, and often invokes feelings that the player cannot explain. Or cannot you cannot explain. Uh this item or this wandrous item or this horn allows you to cast identify once per long rest with no materials. It also allows you to cast speak with animals once per long rest. And then once per long rest, if you played this flute or this horn near a body of water, you may ask the water a question.
